Meet Allison Libert, A.P.R.N.
Allison Libert is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners who is new to working with Lake Howell Health Center. She works closely with Dr. Hoffman to provide quality care to every patient.
Allison is a two-time graduate from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. As a registered nursing she has spent 6 years working in various areas of medicine including working with school-aged children administering vaccinations and adults in the inpatient setting. Her current areas of focus include family medicine, chronic disease management, wellness exams, sick visits, and well-women exams.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A Nurse Practitioner or APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) is a board-certified healthcare provider with a strong nursing background. Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses who complete advanced education and training to diagnose and manage medical illnesses, as well as prescribe medications. In order to practice Nurse Practitioners must pass board exams, similar to physicians, to become a licensed healthcare provider in their state. At our practice, the Nurse Practitioners work collaboratively with our physicians.
