Lake Howell Health Center’s TRY Weight Loss program helps patients lead healthier, more active lifestyles. The program began in 2017 to give patients a new, medically driven way to lose weight. Under the supervision of our caring staff, you can change your lifestyle through exercise, diets, vitamins and prescription medications.
What is TRY Weight Loss?
Obesity is a serious health problem, especially in Florida. In 2017, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that over 5 million people in the state are considered obese.
Many people believe they cannot control their lifestyles. In reality, they have the power to change their lives for the better. That is why Lake Howell Health Center’s TRY Weight Loss program works differently than others: it puts the patient in the driver’s seat.
At the start of the program, doctors review your health history to evaluate trends in your diet and lifestyle. In addition, lab work and EKGs can help determine if you qualify for dietary suppressants or other helpful medications. Then, our staff works with you to craft a unique plan that fits your specific needs.
Our weight loss plans normally include:
- Revamped meal planning for healthier eating
- Regular exercise
- Nutritional supplements (vitamin B12, calcium and others)
- Prescription medications (for those who qualify)
- Dietary suppressants (for those who qualify)
- Injections (for those who qualify)
A Program Beyond Weight Loss
The Lake Howell Health Center staff designed the TRY Weight Loss program for more than just weight loss. They wanted to create a program that helps patients lead renewed and healthier lives.
The program takes a medical approach to weight loss because a person’s weight is a key factor in keeping them healthy. In doing so, the team looks at the problem as clinical and not cosmetic.
What sets the program apart from other diets and weight loss programs is that it instills a long-term sense of health and wellness in our patients. Weight loss doesn’t happen overnight and patients should not expect to instantly adjust to a healthy lifestyle. Time and dedication to the program see best results.
For patients who think they lack self-discipline or routine to continue the program, our doctors hold weekly accountability sessions. These sessions help patients meet the goals of the program.
Since its creation in 2017, the TRY Weight Loss program has seen encouraging results in patients just like you. Our multifaceted approach to physical health allows patients to work toward realistic and achievable goals while learning the fundamentals of dieting, exercising and weight loss.
With the TRY Weight Loss program, you can lead a more healthy and active life than ever before.
